ILV Marseille - Summer 06
23 June - 2 July 2006
The Institute for Living Voice is
... an INTERNATIONAL CENTRE for singing, offering workshops, concerts, discussions, forums and special events
... an EXPLORATORY not a conservatory: it's a home for the exploration of the human voice in all its manifestations: classical, opera, jazz, experimental, alternative rock, new pop, world music, sound poetry, traditional, blues, sacred and profane
... a MEETING PLACE, open to anyone interested in the human voice: professional singers and performers, artists, actors, choreographers, dancers, theatre directors, composers, musicians, students, non-professional singers, young people, melomaniacs
... an ACTIVE SINGING EXPERIENCE: every session offers 5-10 different, intimate workshops, each with only 7-20 participants
…the opportunity to perform in the Voices & Choices evening
...special projects for composers and singers, and new works commissioned for voice
... a "NOMAD” INSTITUTE: each session is a partnership with an arts centre, school, festival, international institution and city, keeping ILV flexible and evolving
