In her workshop Barbara Hannigan would like to welcome both, singers and composers. In an active explorative way she aspires to achieve an inspiring dialogue where singers will learn about composition, whilst the composers learn about vocals.

After a daily warm-up, in which she integrates her experiences with Yoga, singing teachers, extended vocal teachers (Roy Hart school) and choreographers each composer will be paired with a singer for whom they will compose a 3 minute long solo. As a duo, they will work towards an unique piece.
While sharing her experience as performer and carreer as performers, Barbara Hannigan will concentrate on a non-singing and a non-composing approach, that will result in ….singing and composing!

Target group
Trained singers and composers open to work together and learn from each other’s discipline.
