ILV China's Voices Ghent - Autumn 09

Institute for Living Voice is
an international project of Music Theater Transparant dedicated to the
richness of the vocal art. Under the artistic leadership of David Moss
it brings vocalists from different genres together for workshops,
concerts, debates and lectures. ILV is an exploratory, open to anyone
interested in the human voice.
From the 28th of November 2009 until the 5th of December 2009, Institute for Living Voices; China's Voices takes residence in Ghent, Kunstencentrum Vooruit, as part of the
Europalia Festival which is completely dedicated to the fascinating
country of China.
Institute
for Living Voice will
offer workshops/events of Huafu Li & Li Huaxiu, Zhifang Wang, Gong
Linna, He Jinhua, Xiao He, Yan Jun, Li Tie Qiao, Lander Gyselinck,
Schengge, Jurgen de Blonde aka Köhn, Wu Na & Wu Fei.

The
5th of December 2009 there will be also a first presentation moment of
Century Songs at Vooruit, Ghent. The project gives 6-8 up-and-coming
vocalists the chance to work with
composer Joachim Brackx, David Moss & Wouter Van Looy. The goal: to
create an evening-long
performance piece that highlights unexpected dimensions and emotions in
human singing.
